Welcoming March and some overdue teen angst

Well hello, it’s March already. Can you believe it? February breezed by just like that. Before we know it, I’m turning 21! Whoa. I’d try to force it and say twenteen-one but it just doesn’t work. Not like twenteen, right? Although I never really called myself twenteen — too overused.

But anyway, it just hit me that I am truly saying goodbye [soon] to my teen years. As one of my high school friends put it: Pwede ka na ikulong sa kahit saan sa mundo!* Right, like that’s the only thing to look forward to. :P

I think that since I’m nearing the end of my teen years, I’ve been feeling a bit more angsty than usual. See, I was never the “angsty teen” when I was still in high school or college. Although I had my taray moments and antisocial times, I was generally a happy kid/teen. I think it’s because I am an optimistic person; I don’t see any valid reason why a person has to hate the world and everyone else living in it. My college roommates actually told me one time that I seem to be too nice — no matter how many things come that can probably piss me off, I always say it’s okay.

Of course, that could be my “sugarcoating” attitude, but that’s for another post.

But I digress. Lately I’ve been feeling a bit more…angsty than usual. It’s like I get pissed off at everything. I get pissed off at something my mom says, something my brother says, something that happens in the office — things that are usually not so annoying but rubs me off the wrong way. You know? It’s like I just want to snap at everyone and tell them not to get in my way or else. Grr. Overdue teen angst, I say!

Or, it may just be hormones, but I will stop talking about it here because I know some guys read this blog and it might be uncomfortable. Although I kind of wish that time of the month to come already so at least I’ll be over all these moodiness.

Or maybe, it may just be the last few “teen stuff”, like I said.

Speaking of which, I finally got my driver’s license earlier. AFTER A LONG, LONG TIME! I had it done with the driving school. I kind of took a long time getting it because I forgot to give them my temporary license after it expired. When I finally did and they gave me the actual card, it was all so nice and pretty…except my gender there is male. Now, I know I’m usually one of the boys, but that is just ridiculous. So I gave it back and went back for it today.

Guess what. It’s still male. And people from the LTO said that I can still use it, and just have it changed when I renew my license. Oh well. I guess I’ll be male until 2009. Does that mean no boyfriend until then? :-o

Haha, kidding! My picture looks quite pur-ty though, with some kind of lighting on the side because I had my picture taken early in the morning where the sun is already high and peeks on the side of the roof. Haha. You won’t see the male part until you look closely.

Of course, now that you read this and if I know you in real life, you’d probably ask to look at my license and you’ll look for that. Come on, I know you will. :P

Anyway, it’s time for Pinoy Big Brother, and I have to make notes so I can blog about today’s episode. Happy March everyone!
