Star-gazing
It’s no secret that I love stars. Just one look at this website would tell you that. :P I’ve always loved stars, not only the shapes but also the celestial objects that light up our night sky. One time, during the last night of our CAT bivouac, my friends and I were looking up the sky while we froze in the cold night air trying to identify what constellations we can see in the clear night sky.Wait, make that constellation, as in singular. :P I have read about constellations for so long, but the only one I can successfully recognize in the night sky is Orion, much thanks to his belt. :P I try very hard to look for at least the Big Dipper, but no luck. :P
But here’s a cool tool over the Internet. Meade MySky. This is one of the special kind of telescopes that allows the viewer to recognize not only constellations but over 30K (yes, that’s 30,000) celestial bodies at a click of a button. Meade MySky is simple to operate and anyone from the family can use and enjoy.
Meade MySky is made by OpticsPlanet.com, who is the leading retailer of a wide selection of optics: telescopes, spotting scopes, binoculars, night vision and flashlights for really affordable prices. :)
Oh wait, I think I did see Big Dipper once, and I think it was when we were in Dingalan. :) Also the constellation Draco, I think. There’s also this rosary-like constellation before, but is it even a real one? Hmm. Maybe I should take up star-gazing as a hobby.
On second thought. Nah. Not now. Maybe when I have my dream house up in the province where the sky is clearer than in polluted Manila. :P
