I want to write a longer entry but my eyes are refusing to cooperate so I’ll just post about this, which I intended to post earlier today but didn’t because I had to fix all the test scripts for today’s UAT.

Anyway.

Deathly Hallows Release Date Announced

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will be published on Saturday 21st July 2007 at 00:01 BST in the UK and at 00:01 in the USA. It will also be released at 00:01 BST on Saturday 21st July in other English speaking countries around the world.

Now, to be completely honest, I don’t really buy Harry Potter books when they just came out. Starting with Book 5, I always happen to stumble upon an online copy/softcopy version of the book so I don’t buy the hardcover release, but still get to read it the same time everyone else does. I know, I know, that’s bad. But I’m just a student then! I couldn’t exactly afford the hardcover book and try to get in line for that early in the morning just to get a copy. I like Harry Potter, but I don’t like it that much.

But now that I’m working, I’m wondering if I should join in the Harry Potter mania fun and reserve a copy of the book early (even if I don’t really like owning hardbound books because they take up too much space) and join all the other Harry Potter fans in lining up at Powerbooks or Fully Booked or wherever the new book is going to be released first and be one of the first ones to get a copy. Somehow I think that sentence did not make sense somewhere. Hmm.

For a change, you know? Instead of letting myself get an online copy, I’ll go the legal and right way and get myself a copy of the book. That’s right, yes? And it’s the last time this is going to happen; I should let myself experience the entire I-must-get-that-new-Harry-Potter-book-first thing before it finally disappears.

Hmmm. Why not? And I’m out of book ban1 by that time.

Anyone who would want to join me? We could line up together and wait for the book this coming July. And it’s a Saturday, so no work to get in the way. :P

Okay, bed time! I need to motivate myself to go to the gym tomorrow before meeting with Tuesday at lunch. Then GMT for Singles for Christ and home to work on this new site my friends and I are starting. Ahhh, yes, Saturday! How I love you! ♥ Good night world! :)

  1. book ban - a self-imposed condition after buying 10 books during my last MV Doulos trip. Besides not having any money, I realized I need to at least tackle some of the books I bought there (as well as the books my dad brought home last Christmas and some books from the Book Fair last September that I haven’t even cracked open yet) before buying anything new. The self-imposed book ban is to last until June. Why June? OMF Bookstore goes on sale on June. :P [«]

I think so too. Rowling said two people will die…hmmm..Voldemort and Harry? :P

Oooh. Harry Potter. :) Gusto ko sana sumama, kaso truth is, I don’t collect Harry Potter books. But I do love the movies. Hehe. I’m sure iba pa rin ung sa books pero ang haba na kse eh. hahaha!

Wag ka na mag soft-copy. You’re working now, you deserve to get the tangible copy. Hehehe! :)

Agree. Plus I want to experience the fun of lining up in the morning and all that. And actually getting the newest Harry Potter book on time together with all the other people in the country. :P

Harry Potter fan ka rin pala! Ako rin eh hehehe can’t wait for the HP7 book… sa tingin mo ba buhay pa nga talaga si Dumbledore?? kasi yung friend ko hanggang ngayon hoping parin na buhay pa siya… sabi ko nga, ano yan Filipino movie?! Joke, joke lang na patay yung isa sa mga bida?! haha :D

I wish Dumbledore is still alive, pero unrealistic na. Haha then again when was Harry Potter realistic? But he seems REALLY dead…haha unless decoy lang yun. Pero kung decoy lang sya, parang ang pangit.

Can’t wait to read how this ends. :D Maybe when I buy the last one, I’ll be able to buy the ones in between para lang makumpleto. Haha.

ako rin eh… pero lumabas na kasi siya sa portrait eh diba?… ako hihintayin ko magkaron ng isang pack na andun na yung buong series tapos yun ang bibilhin ko para kumpleto na! yung HP7, maghahanap na lang ako ng magpapahiram hehehe

hi.. im a harry potter fan.. before i didnt even know that there’s such a book like that. I first learned about it when i saw the movie, i became very interested in it and so i asked my mom to buy me a copy of the third book ( i skipped the first and second ). after that.. well, i was hooked.. i collected all of the softcopies of the others (yeah, i got them all–1 to 6– and that’s because im an IT person..:D ). but for the 6th, ah, that one was legal, i got it from a bookstore shelf and it also came with a receipt :D. i dont like what happened in book 6th.. why the hell did she kill my most fave character?!?!
